We are a located in northeastern Sioux Falls, on a large corner lot at the intersection of 3rd and Sycamore. The first thing you notice about our center is the large windows that let the sunshine pour into the classrooms. Once inside our center you will see what a difference this makes by how warm and inviting the center feels.

Our security system includes an in center video monitoring system and a code system entry. All classrooms have inside windows to allow you to sneak a peak at your child as you walk by. Another notable feature is our large playground; it allows us to have separate spaces for our toddlers and older children. The toddlers have a large sandbox, riding toys and lots of places to climb. The older children's playground includes a large sandbox, slides, swings and climbing areas. They also have many tikes, a place to play basketball and a large open area for perfect for group games such as soccer.

The children are cared for by a very dedicated staff. Several of our caregivers have their CDA or teaching degrees. Many of our teachers have been with us since the center opened in August of 1996.

All our classrooms have a daily schedule and weekly lesson plans they follow to provide age appropriate activities guaranteed to mix learning with fun. We attempt to fill the children's day with a variety of interesting as well as educational activities and we use the television only on special occasions.

After much planning and many phone calls, we are ready for summer. The School Age and Kindergarten teachers have been busy planning filed trips and setting up programs to ensure the children attending are kept busy and entertained through out the summer. Some of the plans include day trips to Falls Park, Visiting the petting zoo at McCrossan's Boys Ranch, a tour and chance to make a pizza at Papa Murphy's, just to name a few. The preschool classes are still busy as usual with their fun filled days packed with field trips, water play and educational activities. Our infants and toddlers are busy exploring their new world with the help of their caring providers, at any one time you might find them singing, reading, doing puzzles or even playing with the parachute or crawling thorough a tunnel. The activity rarely stops in our classrooms.

Apple Tree has an "open door" policy that we encourage parents to use. The doors to both offices are always open to parents, we love to hear compliments but we need to hear your complaints so we can improve. Parents may stop in to visit their child's classroom any time or you may phone from your office to find out how your child's day is progressing.

We would love to have you come tour our center, no appointment necessary. We love to show off all we have to offer and think that you and your family could find a safe, happy place with us at Apple Tree North.
